Magmatrek was created in 2002 by a group of volcanologic guides who live and work in Stromboli and Ginostra and share a mutual passion for the island and its volcano.
Our aim is to promote the natural and cultural heritage of Sicily and the Aeolian archipelago.
During the excursions we seek to convey to the participants our long-standing experience and knowledge of the archipelago’s anthropological, historical and natural science aspects. We try to provide detailed information about the flora, fauna and geology of the island.
Our practical experience and formal technical training allow us to guarantee a maximum level of safety during excursions. We speak English, French, German and Spanish.
Magmatrek’ guides are part of the ”Collegio regionale Guide Alpine e Vulcanologiche Sicilia” and/or of the “Collegi Regionali Guide Alpine Italiane”.
